What this policy covers

This policy explains how Coalition for Community Elevation ("CCE", "we", "us") handles information on this website. It covers the volunteer interest form, the adult membership form ("Join the Coalition"), and the contact form, and nothing else.

Information we collect

We collect only what you type into our forms:

• Volunteer interest form: your name, email address, optional phone number, the areas you would like to help with, your availability, your message, and your confirmation that you are 18 or older.
• Membership form: your first and last name, email address, optional phone number, city and state, the membership type you choose, the areas you are interested in, anything you tell us about how you would like to help, and your confirmation that you are 18 or older and agree to be contacted.
• Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you choose, and your message.

If you send us a message or sign up to volunteer, we may reply in a private conversation thread at a link we send you. That link is the only key to the thread, so please treat it the way you would treat a password, and tell us if you think someone else has it. Anything you write in the thread is stored with your submission.

We do not ask for payment card details on this website. Donations are processed by a third-party payment provider on their own systems.

If you buy CCE gear, the order is handled by our store provider, Shopify. We receive your name, delivery address, email address and what you ordered so we can answer questions about it. We never receive or store your card number, and payment happens on Shopify's own secure checkout.

Children's privacy

Our forms are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we ask visitors not to send us information about a child through this website. If you believe a child's information has reached us, contact us and we will delete it.

Photographs at our events

We publish photographs from CCE programs and community events, including our youth programs. We ask partners and families for permission before a photograph of a child goes on this site, and we do not publish a child's name alongside a photograph. If you are a parent or guardian and want a photograph of your child removed, contact us and we will take it down.

How we use your information

• To reply to your message or volunteer offer.
• To organize volunteer scheduling and program planning.
• To send members updates about CCE programs, events and opportunities, and to reach you about the interests you chose.
• To keep records required for a nonprofit organization.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Service providers

This website is hosted on managed infrastructure, and form submissions are stored on that infrastructure so nothing is lost. If we email you in reply, an email service provider processes that message. Gear orders and payments are handled by Shopify. These providers act on our instructions.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies and does not run third-party analytics. The one cookie we do set holds the reference to your gear cart so it is still there when you come back; it contains no personal information, and it is not used to follow you anywhere else. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security and reliability.

Donation links

When you follow a donation link, you leave this website and the payment provider's own privacy policy applies. We receive confirmation of a donation and your contact details if you choose to share them; we never receive your card number.

How long we keep information

We keep volunteer, membership and contact submissions while the relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward for organizational records. Ask us to delete your information and we will do so unless we are required to keep it. If you are a member, you can ask to be taken off our update list at any time and still remain a member.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete the information you sent us. Use the contact form and we will reply from the organization inbox.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page.
