CCE's First Community Listening Forum at Novo Brewing Company

CCE held its first community forum at Novo Brewing Company in Imperial Beach with one purpose: to listen.

Members of the public were invited to speak openly about their concerns, experiences, and the issues affecting their communities. This was not a debate. There were no rebuttals, defenses, or attempts to answer people in the moment. The goal was to give everyone the space to speak honestly and know they had been heard.

Too often, people are spoken for or spoken over. CCE created this forum so community members could speak for themselves. We listened to better understand what people are facing, what they need, and where meaningful community action should begin.
